I’m a happy, happy girl today! Have you ever experienced a magical moment of synergy? When something so impulsive and spur-of-the-moment becomes something amazing and exciting? It was an idea that popped up out of nowhere, “Hey, let’s make a magazine. Wouldn’t that be fun?” That’s essentially how the very first issue of 30A Street Style came about on a whim this summer. Sometimes recreating those totally awesome unplanned moments don’t always work and I’ve been trying to organize the follow up to what was an out-of-the-blue debut. We had so much positive feedback and enthusiasm that I didn’t want to put out a second e-zine unless it was as good or better than the first. What eventually came together is an issue that I truly love and am so proud of. It has fashion. It has real people. It has our gorgeous beaches. It has usable tips. And (I think) it has fun. At the very least, I had fun creating it. I was lucky enough to chat with the lovely Cassie Kelley of Womanista, the talented Mychael Knight of Project Runway, local blogger Sarah Powers of Closetini and put together plenty of fun fashion with my girl Caitlyn Ward. Please take a moment to check it out and let me know what you think. Click here to jump to the full e-zine.

People always ask me where Emery’s cute necklaces come from. She almost never leaves home without her bright chunky baubles. Guess what? I make them! When I couldn’t find just what I wanted, I started putting together my own necklaces for her outfits. They’ve been a bigger hit than I imagined and I’ve started making them for friends who ask. I’ll soon be setting up a place to purchase Beach Baubles online, but for now you’ll have to settle for these adorable photos from a mini-shoot we did this weekend. Cue the cuteness overload!

More About Me
She’s baaack! India Hicks is back at the beach armed with a fabulous trunk show my eyes can’t wait to devour. India is launching a fine jewelry line and is showing it off to all of us lucky beach girls (and guys) before it even hits Bloomingdales. Location: the equally-fabulous
studio b. in Alys Beach, which I adore. As a style icon, designer and possessor of impeccable taste, India brings an impressive background to the jewelry scene. Not to mention, she’s practically a royal and was even one of Princess Diana’s flower girls. Wow!

Not only is she all of these things…
… but she’s a stylish mom, too! How cute is this picture?

She is the epitome of casual luxury. A relaxed style that loses not one ounce of chicness.
India has quite the family history of elegance and style and lives up to every bit of it.

As someone who has a mild obsession with monograms, initials and all things type-related, I was immediately drawn to the simple but creative lettered patterns.
Several pieces even pay homage to the geometric hexagon design her father was famous for.
The collections are simple, elegant and interesting without trying too hard. I’m so excited about seeing them all at studio b. and can’t wait to see India in person.
Here are all the details. I’m definitely going to be scoping her style and hoping I can pick up a tip or two about being comfortable and looking fabulous. She just makes it look so easy! Pictures to come!

Inspired by Jessica Simpson’s extravagant birthday gift, a new orange Birkin bag (can you imagine?!), here’s a complete outfit with more budget friendly pieces to balance the high and low. Crisp white pants in the summer never get old and the math nerd in me is drawn to this red geometric top. A few gold accessories in the form of espadrilles, arrowhead earrings and a square-face double wrap watch complete the look. Chic and easy for a laid-back work day!

Top & Earrings: F21; Pants: J. Crew; Shoes & Watch: Michael Kors; Bag: Hermes
