One Shirt 5 Ways!

Check out the latest post from the Willow girls here. They have five fabulous takes on how to wear this fun turquoise Alice + Olivia blouse. All it takes is a little creativity to stretch your wardrobe without ever looking anything less than super stylish.

Deja Vu is Online!

I’m so excited! Deja Vu is now up and running online! I LOVE this boutique and now I can scout out my favorite pieces on their website shopwithdejavu.com. There’s even a little birdie that flies across the screen like the little ones that live in the store. So cute. You can tell spring is right around the corner and they just got in tons of bright new clothes. Also, when you click for the detail on any item, you get a little description with ideas of what to pair it with or where to wear it. Love it! Now go to Seaside and see for yourself.

Scavengers Hunting

I love browsing in Scavengers, just waiting to see what treasure I can find around every corner. I always walk out with something when I go. They have a little bit of everything from furniture finds and art to knick-knacks and lighting. It’s almost all old-made-new stuff or at least is made to look that way. I’ve bought quite a few things there, including one of my favorite purchases, a vintage sideboard I painted black that my TV sits on. A close runner-up is this vintage perfume bottle that I found over the weekend. Doesn’t it look so elegant and super cool all at the same time? Love it!

DIY Perfume @ Patchouli’s

Pish Posh Patchouli’s in Rosemary has all sorts of amazing products for your face and body (lip glosses! lotions! soaps!) and even for your home (I heart Archipelago candles!). One of the coolest things you can possibly find is a perfume bar with bottle after bottle of various ingredients that you mix and match to create your very own signature scent with a little flair. It’s so fun! When you’re finished, not only do you feel like you’ve done a little arts-and-crafting, but you walk away with a personalized bottle of fantastic smelling perfume. Ahh, perfection!

Big Sale @ DeJa Vu!

DeJa Vu in Pier Park is offering 50% off all clothing AND 40% off all shoes now through the end of December! Only 10 shopping days left! If you go, I’m sure you’ll walk away with something. I love my new red plaid jacket!

Hot Stuff @ 96 Degrees

SoWal-ers know the familiar light blue VW Bug covered in bright smiley faces and flowers cruising around 30A belongs to the very cool 96 Degrees Surf Shop. The store used to be right next to the Wheelhouse but moved to an even better location by the Old Florida Fish House. Everyone loves the sushi bar there and the Grouper Fish House (sooo good!), but even better is doing a little shopping on your way in or out. The store is really small, but there’s plenty of room for cute tops, beachy dresses and fun tanks and accessories. Right now they have a totally cool leopard print dress and a bunch of cute Karlie tops. I even found a great tattoo print burn out tee to wear to yoga! Stop in on your next visit to the Fish House or make a trip just to shop. I’m sure it wouldn’t be the first time.

Studded Bangles & More at SOHO

SOHO boutique is having some great sales right now at their store in Gulf Place (393 & 30A)! They have tons of Juicy stuff (as always) but a bunch of really cute tops and dresses to add to your wish list. In the contemporary store, they carry lines like Michael Stars, C&C California, True Religion, 7 for all Mankind, Hype, Free People, Yag and lots, lots more! I saw several great pieces of jewelry (like these bangles) and a cool leather clutch with studs on the outside. I picked up a superthin, supercool tee by Yag for less than 30 bucks.
The SOHO website shows a few available items but you have to go in person or phone in an order to one of their locations to get the goods. They have 3 stores in Houston, but their one and only beach store is right here in Santa Rosa Beach!

Funky Blue

I stopped by The Blue Giraffe in Blue Mountain Beach yesterday after hearing about their new location in Watercolor and great things about their eclectic collections of jewelry, art, and home décor and found myself wanting to take home one of everything! Well, almost. This fun little shop is overflowing with beachy finds, and while that isn’t really my style I still found myself coveting quite a few items—I’m already planning on returning for a pair of chic black and white pillar holders and a fabulous glass wine stopper I plan to put to good use on a great bottle of pinot grigio…

Wake Up with PJ’s

PJ’s in Redfish Village is fast becoming part of my daily routine for leaving zombie mode behind in the morning. I’m a big fan of frozen coffees and their Velvet Ices are ridiculously good. They have freshly blended Mocha, Vanilla or Chai, so I like to rotate a different one every time for a little variety. Try a medium for $3.60.
As if the logo didn’t give it away, PJ’s also does delicious smoothies (via Planet Smoothie) and has more choices than you can imagine. The first Wednesday in September is 99 Cents Smoothie Day with the delicious Screamsicle™ (pineapple, peaches, orange juice, sherbet & anti-oxidant blast™) for only a dollar.
It’s hard to beat PJ’s for a jumpstart to another great day at the beach.
Mmmm…
